Cristina Bucci has joined SOULdiers Company under the title Assistant Director. She is a dancer, choreographer, adjudicator and teacher whose career has taken her to such places as Brazil, Egypt, Israel, Macau, China, England and throughout Canada.
Having trained with some of the most recognized teachers and choreographers has given her a vast background in jazz, street jazz, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary jazz. Her versatility as a choreographer and dancer has also given her many opportunities to work on various stage shows, music videos and TV/film projects.
Some of her favorite credits include working with old school rapper Young MC, Indian opera singer Veera Devi Khare, assistant choreographer for the Miss Fitness America Pageant for ESPN, dancing at the unveiling of the 2010 Olympic Logo, choreographing for the feature film "Shut up and Shoot", working with country artist Lisa Brokop, dancing at the House of Blues, dancing at the Choreographers Ball in London, England with hip-hop company, Avantgarde, representing Canada in the Macau International Dance Festival and dancing in the show "PIECES" for Heather Laura Gray.
Cristina now spends her time teaching for various companies and schools throughout the Vancouver area, practices as a Holistic Nutritionist and dances with the Vancity Lockers.
