1. What is your favourite thing to do on your downtime?
Whenever I'm feeling down, I just do things to try and get my mind off of it. Dancing is one of the things I do quite a bit if I ever feel down, or talk to friends who always end up cheering me up. I find that nothing beats chips and a blanket in front of a good movie!
2. Where is the place you would like to travel the most?
I want to travel all over the world, Japan, China, Australia, Northern Europe, Caribbean; but a place I would really like to travel to right now would be New York.
3. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I'm not going to lie, I have no idea. Hopefully with a good degree, still able to dance, and closer to my dreams (really corny I know).
4. What in hip hop culture inspires you the most?
One of the things that inspires me the most in hip hop culture, is the history of it. Learning about the history of hip hop culture is amazing. Finding out where the true passion comes from is what makes me want to dance so much. Hip hop culture began as an outlet to problems, coming from the soul, using only your body as a tool. I find hip hop culture itself a true inspiration in general as there is so much to it, but the history of it is what I find the most fascinating.
5. What does being a SOULdier mean to you?
IBeing a SOULdier means so much to me. As part of this company, I get a chance to be part of the hip hop community and have an identity in Vancouver. Being a SOULdier also gives me a lot of confidence with my dancing and myself. A place like SOULdiers also reminds me that there are great people in this city, willing to give so much, which I am so grateful for. Being a SOULdier means recognition in the hip hop community.
